Orange County Landscape
We thought it would be fun to have a project of the month. So from now on we will tell you about one of our projects every month. The first project is located in the city of Orange. We love working in Orange! Especially with the fuel prices of today. This project actually started last year. We ran into a young gentleman at our local feed store. After seeing the signs on our truck, he asked for one of our cards. A couple of days later we meet with his wife. Very nice people! We helped his wife with the landscape design. The one problem we faced was this young couple has four dogs. After discussing the problem with our customers, we decided to build a dog run on the side of the house. This would allow us to install the back yard landscape without the dogs interfering. Synthetic Turf is a great product to install in dog runs.
Orange County Concrete
The dog run was the first thing to do on our list. First we ran a new drain line to the street. This would allow the customers to wash down the dog run and with four dogs they have to do this on a regular basis. After installing the drains, we installed the concrete and everything went well. We built a gate to keep the dogs in the dog run. At this point the customers wanted to take a break before starting the second phase. After a couple of months our customer called us and were worried about the concrete in the dog run. After washing down the dog run they had an area of standing water. TRU Landscape Services takes pride in our work. After seeing the area of concern we decide to remove a small section of concrete and install new concrete in this same area. This is a great time to bring up the fact that we have been landscaping in Orange County for over 25 years. This means when some problem arise we are fast to respond to fix it. We always receive calls from customers asking us to fix someone else problems, because the other company went out of business or changed their phone number. After 25 years we still have the same phone number. After installing this new concrete in the dog run all of the water drained out properly. The customer was happy with our quick response to fix this issue.
Landscape Contractor
After fixing the dog run we went right into building this back yard. We installed a new planter wall that was wide enough for people to sit on. We always recommend building the planter walls in this fashion, it provides great areas for people to sit down during a party. The planter wall was covered in stack stone. We installed a raised area for the new fire pit. The customer decided on a flag stone for this area, which we thought was a great idea. It helped break up all of the concrete in the back yard. It really made the fire pit the focal point. We installed new concrete in the back yard. Now came the time to design the new planters. This was the tough part; this couple is on the move at all times! So to make an arrangement to meet at the nursery was a little bit of a challenge. TRU Landscape Services has been working in Orange County for over 25 years. We find that meeting our customers at the nursery allows them to see the plants we are using. We know what the plants look like but our customers need to see them before we plant them in the ground. After installing the plants, we installed the new sod. The sprinklers we used were Toro precision nozzles. These nozzles will save 30 % of the water used. All of the planters were installed with a drip line. Drip line is a great way to water small planters. Our customers were happy with the finished product.
