The previously wide open backyard now has several square feet of shade provided by this new patio cover. It is 10-15 degrees cooler in the shade than in direct sunlight. Our customer had a flat wood patio cover that was in need of a rebuild. Our customer wanted to rebuild the patio cover in the same design. We had different ideas, so we set up a meeting at one of our recent patio cover installs. After meeting us and seeing the patio cover we wanted to build for them, they changed their mind. The new design we recommended would give them a higher patio cover. This provides a more open space. Plus we used a Tongue and groove wood for the roof. This wood provides a great ceiling to apply a wood stain to. Whenever it’s in the budget we love to use this wood. This wood really ties a patio cover together.
